Volunteer

At Veteran Hope Alliance, volunteers are the heartbeat of our mission to move veterans from isolation toward connection, purpose, and hope. Whether you are a veteran, a family member, or a civilian who cares, there is a place for you here.

Why Your Time Matters

Veterans face unique challenges with transition, mental health, and finding a new sense of purpose after service. By volunteering, you help create safe spaces on the water, in the garden, and around the table where veterans can breathe easier, build friendships, and heal together.

Ways to Volunteer

  • Outdoor Program Support – Help host fishing trips, garden days, chicken coop chores, and other nature-based activities for veterans.
  • Event & Fundraising Support – Assist with community events, awareness booths, and online or in-person fundraisers that keep our programs running.
  • Farm & Garden Crew – Plant, weed, water, harvest, and care for animals at our community garden and small farm to support veteran families with fresh food.
  • Hospitality & Fellowship – Help prepare and serve meals, welcome veterans and families at gatherings, and create a warm, faith-filled community environment.
  • Administrative & Media Help – Support with data entry, emails, phone calls, photography, or social media to share stories and expand our reach.

If you are a veteran, you can also serve as a peer supporter or mentor, walking alongside others who understand what you’ve been through.

Who Can Volunteer?

  • Veterans and active-duty family members
  • Community members, churches, civic groups, and businesses
  • Individuals or groups looking for one-time projects or ongoing service opportunities

Some roles may require a brief orientation, background check, or additional training to protect the safety and privacy of our veterans.
